Do you use solar or instant hot water?
The hot water is 55°C or lower at the tap.

Our ceiling is insulated to at least 100mm.
Our wooden floors have under floor insulation.

The drapes all extend to the floor.
Pelmets are installed above all drapes, or the top of the drapes are covered by the wall.

We use some photovoltaic solar energy.
We use 24-hour time switches and/or thermostats on our heaters.
Appliances are switched off at the wall and not left on standby when we're not using them.
We only use our clothes dryer when it's raining.
Where lights are used for long periods they are low energy bulbs.
