Microsolar Tank Temperature Decay Rate
- Microsolar Tanks incorporate a copper heat exchange coil, which means that your drinking water is isolated from the water stored in the tank.
- When drawing 10 litres of water per minute through the coil, at an input temperature of 20 degrees C, the water temperature decay rate is about 1 degree C per minute.
- The graph shows approximately how long you can expect the hot water in the tank to last from any given temperature. The decay rate shown is not significantly different from any standard hot water tank.
- Colder incoming water reduces these times.
- A slower draw-off increases these times.
- Hot water below 40C is considered too cold for a shower.
